The Association hosts this call among council lawyers for a Legal Update. This meeting is subject to the common interest privilege. The call will be subject to the joint defense privilege.

We will discuss current legal issues of interest to local councils and their attorneys including council charters, governance, non-auto insurance coverage, non-Scout event insurance/risks, best practice strategies for assuming territory with or without assuming liabilities, property sales for councils contributing property to the settlement trust, as well as any other topics sent to info@scoutcouncil.org in advance of the meeting.  We will also set a schedule for future meetings.
